Health Project: Week Four

A challenging week this one. I’ve been feeling quite tired in myself, but I’m putting that down to my body reacting to the lack of sugar, and trying to balance itself again. I also discovered that I have misjudged my running distances completely, and have only been going half as far as I thought I was… Hmmm…

A couple of weird cravings this week, too – Monday’s was a Domino’s pizza and Tuesday brought a hankering for a sausage and egg McMuffin, for some obscure reason (particularly bases on the fact that I’ve not been into a McDonalds for about four years…

Temptation came a-calling twice this week, too – a meal at a friend’s on Friday and I politely turned down both wine and crisps, and two friends I’ve not seen for ages brought with them a tray of Krispy Kreme doughnuts, again I politely declined.

The weigh-in on Tuesday shows a continued move in the right direction, as did the BP check.

Blood Pressure: 126/70 (Again down on last week, but healthily so).

Pulse: 60bpm Both taken about half an hour after getting in from work, so the commute rate had dropped a little.

Weight: 13st 7lbs (85.7kg) Another 4lbs (1.8kg) lost this week, which I am extremely pleased about. I know this will start slowing down, but I’m happy for it to continue as is for now! I’ve now lost 10lbs (4.5kg) since the start of the year, so am happily on target for my planned weight loss.

When it comes to food, my detox regime continues. Weekends include cereal for breakfast as well as a dinner, but I’m sticking with the fruit-based lunch. Exercises carry on again, with 32 abs crunches and 2 planks per day, as well as a 2k (not 4!) run on Wednesday. That was a tough one, and I nearly deferred until it was a little warmer, but my conscience kicked in, and I went as usual.
