#873 – Sunny Lines
The last of the week of one-shot photos, and this sums up the downside of taking just one photo. I was running low on ideas and, looking out of the window yesterday morning, inspiration suddenly struck. Summer is definitely here (it was the summer solstice yesterday after all) and the clear blue sky was criss-crossed by the Venetian blind over the window and the telephone wires outside. I like lines, as you may know, and so I took the opportunity.
The upside of this is I really like the concept, the downside of the one-shot, all-or-nothing opportunity is that I didn’t spend enough time manually focussing on the telegraph pole, which has come out blurred. (The auto-focus got the blinds every time, and I didn’t consider using a tripod for such a ‘simple’ shot…)
One other thing about today’s photo is that it inadvertently sets the scene for next week’s images…
