#1298 – Glastonbury Then and Now 5

While the vast majority of it was destroyed as part of the Dissolution of the Monasteries by Henry VIII, there still remains some impressive architecture in the grounds of Glastonbury Abbey.

At its height, it was the largest abbey in England, and, in terms of power, it was second only to Westminster. What little is left of the structure still commands your attention, and, in some parts, little has changed over the last eighty years.
