#2865 – The Price of Communication

London, November 2019.

Hidden away in East London, between Farringdon and Kings Cross is the delightful Postal Museum. Split across two buildings, it tells the history of the postal system in the UK, from the days when the recipient of letters was the person who paid the postage, rather than the person sending them, to the present day. While the museum itself is designed to lure children in with their parents, the second part – the mail rail – is more for the adults. A 15 minute trip along the 90-year-old underground railway designed to transport letters and parcels across the city!
